Torulopsis glabrata does not form mycelia (hyphae) in vivo. Disseminated lesions solely consist of blastospores. Smaller eosinophilic blastospores possess a distinct nucleus, while the larger ones show relative basophilia (HE).   Smaller blastospores show a strong Gram positivity (Gram).
