| Cut surfaces of the microfilaria are seen in eosinophilic abscess (HE, lower power). Features of creeping disease are seen in this case. | Thick cuticular layer with internal ridges and thick muscle layer are observed. The internal cuticular ridges are characteristic of Dirofilaria.
